The Almonry Barn is lovely Somerset wedding venue which describes itself as ‘intimate and boutique’ and, having been shortlisted for Best Barn in both the 2018 and 2019 UK Wedding Awards, it is easy to see why it’s such a popular choice if you are planning a barn-style wedding. To add to the appeal, if you decide on a wedding here, you are also booking yourself a little piece of the 800-year-old history of this Scheduled Ancient Monument which is made available for you as a blank canvas to decorate in your own personal style, allowing you to create your ideal wedding day, just as you imagine it to be.
The Almonry Barn offers a number of distinct spaces for your wedding: The Hayloft serves as both a tranquil ceremony room and a snug to escape from the revelry later on when your dancing feet need a break; the bar area can be found through an original archway linking to the stables, where horses used to quench their thirst; and the Threshing Room is the main reception area which doubles later on as the dance floor. From here, on nice-weather days, you can step out on to the walled terrace, complete with stunning views of the Somerset levels.
The Almonry Barn offers exclusive use to couples as a beautiful Somerset wedding venue, only holding a limited number of weddings throughout April-October, so make sure you don’t leave it too late to enquire after this gem!
