Upon looking through Simon’s website I loved his style of photography and editing and thought it was perfect for us. From our initial first meeting prior to booking, we felt very comfortable and heard, and was so happy to know he was available for our wedding!

When the big day arrived, Simon was amazing! He was quick to adapt to wedding hiccups/moody weather. The way he was everywhere and at the same time blending in like a chameleon, but also interacting with guests and making everyone feel at ease.

We received our photos sooner than we thought and they are stunning! We are extremely grateful for your wonderful skill and we thank you for being part of our special day! 

We are so glad we chose Simon to be our wedding photographer! He captured our day so beautifully and was such a lovely calming and fun presence to have with us for the celebrations. The way he did our couple shots was really engaging and personal - just letting us be us and not trying to pose for the camera. This has given us stunning natural shots of us soaking up our day and making the most of it together. We were delighted to receive our photos quicker than expected and the highlight reel tells the story of the day better than we could have imagined, showing what a wonderful time all our family and friends had as well. I wish I could give Simon more than 5* he was absolutely fantastic. He did the photos for my sister’s wedding. Their photos were perfect, the unposed story telling vibe we were hoping for, and really beautiful and artistic. We also knew he was a fun, friendly and easy going person to have around on the wedding day, so we didn’t even think about going with anyone else. Simon was so brilliant to work with, he is really quick to respond to messages and really friendly and professional. He had lots of really helpful spot-on advice about organising the day.

We had both engagement photos and wedding photos done. I am not someone who enjoys having their photo taken at all, and was anxious I would find the experience really awkward, but Simon put us both totally at ease and made the process just seem like a fun conversation. He totally fitted into the day, and made guests feel at ease. We are so so delighted with the photos. So many joyful moments of the day captured so beautifully, and we will treasure the photos. I honestly don’t think you could get better photographer than Simon.

We feel so lucky to have had Simon as our wedding photographer in April 2025 at Hestercombe Gardens.

From our very first chat, Simon put us completely at ease. Wedding planning had us a bit frazzled, but his calm professionalism came through on the call, and after the first video chat, we knew we had found the right photographer. From there on, he checked-in with us at just the right moments leading up the big day, meaning photography was one less thing to stress about!

On the day itself, Simon’s unobtrusive style meant that he blended in with our guests like he was one of them, allowing him to capture the candid moments. What we particularly loved was how he put us at ease when did we the ‘couples’ shoot’ element of the day. Rather than stilted, awkward, posed photography, Simon got us relaxed and to be ourselves. The photos that came out felt natural and looked like ‘us’. What we also loved was his attention to detail, constantly monitoring the light conditions, keeping us updated, yet being flexible and adapting to the day. It meant we had the most amazing golden hour shots, of which one was our stand-out favourite.

We had opted for Simons’ hybrid photo-video service and we are so glad we did. Initially, we were skeptical how a one-person team could pull off both, but the results blew us away. As stunning as the photos were, the videos brought them to life. They allowed us to relive the whirlwind of a day and even see moments we missed or wouldn’t have seen. Most importantly, it allowed my sister, who couldn’t attend on the day, to feel part of our celebration. Highly, highly recommend.

One of the reasons I picked Simon as our photographer was that he worked a wedding I attended 10 years ago and his friendliness and calm presence on that day stuck with me!

Simon did an incredible job of photographing our wedding. He managed to get both posed and candid photographs of myself and my husband that we love, despite the fact that neither of us are really comfortable in front of a camera. He put us at ease when we had our couples photos done and that shows in the shots he took!

Simon also did a fantastic job of documenting the day itself, we have candid photographs of so many of our friends and family enjoying the day and in some cases pulling some brilliant dance moves.

Finally, if you are considering going for hybrid coverage (photography & video) do it! The film we got is amazing and I have watched it dozens of times, it captured the feel of the day and so many important moments that would be a blur by now without it.

Alistair and I couldn’t have found a more exceptional photographer, and person, to capture our wedding day in the Lake District.

Regardless of the photo’s we’ve gotten (which are incredible), Simon made us and all our guests feel so comfortable all day and night, and really captured what our weekend was all about! The day was not spent away from the guests taking posed photos and feeling like we were missing the fun. But we did get to have a small period of time to capture Alistair and I in private where we could feel like ourselves and it showed in the photos. Simon met and exceeded all our expectations. Couldn’t recommend Simon more highly!

Absolute wizard of a photographer!

We cannot thank Simon enough for our wedding photos! We wanted an informal and reportage account of our day and he really met the brief. We had the most wonderful day it was magical and full of laughs, love, tears and joy. Every step was artfully captured and the photos bring back the memory of each moment and really tell the story of the day. Looking back on our gallery was so emotional and took us and our guests back to the day! On top of this he is an utter joy to work with, our guests felt relaxed and had nothing but great feedback. We moved our wedding after various replans and our wedding was away from home - so an added challenge to find the right person for the job! After some research we were very glad we found Simon - the photos are magical, and so very us! He is so talented and we would recommend him highly!

Wow I don’t think there is anything else I can say, our photos are incredible! From our very first contact with Simon he has been amazing and so easy to deal with. Simon was just fantastic and everyone commented on how friendly and fun he was on the day, beautiful natural photos that really capture everyone’s personalities. We are so glad we booked him for our wedding last year and were totally over the moon with the photographs. He captured the entire day, including all the parts we missed in the madness of it all, beautifully and without anyone even knowing he was there. We have had so many comments about how our guests didn’t realise he got absolutely everywhere throughout the day!

From the first moment, Simon was quick to respond, always professional and kept us in the loop. On the day, he was simply wonderful. Totally calm about everything, nothing was too much bother. We bawled our eyes out watching the highlights video he created afterwards, and then again when he sent through the full gallery. Our house is almost exclusively decorated with wedding prints, which were so easy to order.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience with our wedding photographer and will cherish the photos forever. We can all relive the day whenever we like through Simon’s amazing work.
